Job Openings
The Topeka Housing Authority is seeking a Housing Specialist to serve on a team providing housing assistance to low-income families, interviews, screens, verifies eligibility of applicants, sets appointments for Leasing Agent and performs related tasks.  Full time, benefit eligible position.  HS graduate or GED.  Must have good organizational and phone skills, experience dealing with diverse populations, and able to work with limited supervision.  Must type 40 wpm with proficiency in MS Word.  Bi-linqual a plus.  Pay range $13.99 - $18.54 per hour.  Interviews begin Thursday, January 28, 2010.  Applications accepted until filled.

Director of Special Projects - Duties: develop affordable housing, expand and improve THA programs, promote THA in the community, develop partnerships, design Quality initiatives, do problem solving and trouble shooting.  Full Time. Benefit eligible.  Four year college degree and four years of affordable housing program management experience required or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  Salary range $48,000 to $74,000 with salary depending on qualifications and experience.  Interviews start February 1, 2010.  Open until filled.

Executive Assistant - Duties:  support for senior managers and management team, full range of office operations tasks, systems improvement, data collection and report preparation.  Full time.  Benefit eligible.  Some college or advanced training required, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  WORD, EXCEL, type 45 wpm.  Interviews start February 1, 2010.  Open until filled.
