Topeka Housing Authority sites have seen a dramatic decline in criminal activities in recent years.  In 2002, based on Topeka Police crime statistics, several of our public housing sites are among the safest neighborhoods in Topeka! Our reduction in crime is based on a number of things:  An active "One Strike" committee at THA, better screening of applicants for violent and drug related criminal activities, better criminal background checks by staff, more resident involvement in safety and security.
