Deer Creek Village is one of four family housing sites. It has 92 units of two-story town homes located south and east of Highland Park High School off SE 25th Street. A Police Substation is located in one of these units and is used by Topeka Community Policing Officers and Sheriff Deputies assigned to patrol the area.
The Deer Creek Community Center, located on this site, is the largest of THA's two community centers. The center has both indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a modern playground, and a picnic area. It is home base for a variety of programs.
These include:
- After School Recreation Programs
- A Computer Lab
- A Summer Drop-In Program
- After-school tutoring and Homework Assistance Program
- Community Action Head Start
